Thought for Today
Dear Lord,
I thank You for this day.
I thank You for my being able to see and to hear
this morning. I'm blessed because You are a
forgiving God and an understanding God. You have
done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.
Forgive me this day for everything I have done,
said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I
ask now for Your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm.
Help me to start this day with a new attitude and

plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each

and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear

from You. Please broaden my mind that I can accept

all things. Let me not whine and whimper over
things I have no control over. Let me continue to

see sin through God's eyes and acknowledge it as
evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess
with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive the
forgiveness of God.

And when this world closes in on me, let me
remember Jesus' example to slip away and find a
quiet place to pray. It's the best response when
I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I
can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to
use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me that

I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that

I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may
have words of encouragement for others. I pray for

those that are lost and can't find their way.

I pray for those that are misjudged and
misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You

intimately. I pray for those that will delete this

without sharing it with others. I pray for those
that don't believe. But I thank you that I
believe.

I believe that God changes people and God changes

things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers.
For each and every family member in their
households. I pray for peace, love and joy in
their homes that they are out of debt and all
their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows there

is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater

than God. Every battle is in Your
hands for You to fight. I pray that these words be

received into the hearts of every eye that sees
them and every mouth that confesses them
willingly.

This is my prayer.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen

A Level of Prayer

There's a level of prayer,
where Jesus wants me to be,
That when I pray,
He can also come and talk with me.
Prayer time is not just a time
where I give my speech,
But a place of worship
where He can talk and teach.

There is no distance when
we come to Him in prayer,
The moment we set our hearts on Him,
He is there.
He told us we're never alone,
He'd stay right by us,
And when the battles come,
He is there beside us.

But we must train our spirits
to listen for His voice,
For listening takes training
and we make the choice.
The joy, peace and wisdom
that He'll give to us all,
Is available everyone;
He's just waiting for our call.

I discovered years ago that prayer is not a
monologue but a dialogue.  And that made all the
difference!

~Author John Bullard ~
I pray...

That His love will make whole.
I pray that I will learn to step back and let Him
take control.

I pray...

That He will cleanse my heart.
I pray that I will grasp the meaning of "we
prophesy in part..."

I pray...

That the world will seek you for themselves.
I pray that this year our Bibles will do more for
us than just look good on our shelves.

I pray...

That your Word will cover me.
I pray that your Word will set unsaved souls free.

Lastly, I pray...

That we will preach your Word and voice truth.
More so, I pray that I will grow stronger in YOU.

THE LORD IS THERE

In the midst of grief and pain,
When Satan tells his lies again.
When all around are lost for words.
When hearts are broken,
Don't despair,
The Lord is there.

When wars around the world increase,
And nations crave and pray for peace.
When hostages are the news,
Refugees are on the move.
Don't despair,
The Lord is there.

When Famine sweeps across the land,
And nations crawl with begging hand.
When children starve and parents cry,
When harvests fail
Don't despair,
The Lord is there.

When disaster strikes the common man.
When nothing goes according to plan.
When work is weary, when none is found.
When marriages fail.
Don't despair,
The Lord is there.

Through life's heartaches, pain and war,
The Lord who cares for one and all
Will never fail
In your despair
THE LORD IS THERE.

Fear Is The Key

Fear is the key
That locks our heart
Against the word of God
It's keeper is the devil
Who wants to prise apart
That special bond
Of Christian love
The Spirit has helped form
The sacrifice of Jesus
Has kept us from the storm.

How much longer
Will You wait
Before we give our all
To come under authority
Or do we want to fall
It's do or die time
I'm afraid
So listen to the call
For He is here among us
Are we ready to stand tall.

Let us come together
Those who are or aren't
To form a solid body
Against the prince of doubt
Open to refining
Lots of love about
Strengthened by The Spirit
We have lots of clout
Praise to The Father
Glory to The Son
We can do His bidding
That means EVERYONE.

I stand in awe.

I am in awe of your love
I stand amazed by your grace
Your death has set my soul free
And I love thee

I see my sins lifted high
My debts paid by your pain
I hear the power of your voice
As you died by choice

The tomb is empty, barren, cold
I am restored, forgiven freed
I am clothed in righteousness
A child of God

I stand in awe.

Trading Scars

Gentle as a whisper I heard you say.
"Why do you suffer and hold to such pain.
I am the healer call me by name."

Silent I wonder does he really know and
quietly he answered, "you know it is so."
Deeply I mourn for I only see the shame
of my life stamped upon me.

Why do you cry when all is known. Have
you not whispered, "I want to be whole."
Shaken I tremble within my reply, "my heart
is but damaged what good is my life."

You do not know love and yet you seek.
Come through the cross my love is so deep.
Call me by name, I came for you.
Give unto me what I give you.

In the silence of a moment time was complete.
In the beauty of one name my heart begin to beat.
Gentle as a whisper in the still wind, the cry
of my heart, the death of my sins.
In Jesus I awoke to live unto him.

Happiness is something we create in our mind,
It's not something you search for and so seldom
find -
It's just waking up and beginning the day
By counting our blessings and kneeling to pray -
It's giving up thoughts that breed discontent
And accepting what comes as a "gift heaven-sent"
-
It's giving up wishing for things we have not
And making the best of whatever we've got -
It's knowing that life is determined for us,
And pursuing our tasks without fret, fume or fuss
-
For it's by completing what God gives us to do
That we find real contentment and happiness, too.

FAITH IS...

... reliance on the certainty that God has a
pattern for my life when everything seems
meaningless

... remembering I am God's priceless treasure when
I feel utterly useless

... depending on the fact that God is Love - not
on my ability to figure out the why's in the midst
of smashed hopes, reversal, and tragedy

... keeping on when I am dog tired, discouraged,
disillusioned, deserted, dusty and dry and I cast
on His strength alone

... realizing that I am useful to God, not in
spite of my scars, but because of them

... confidence that God is acting for my highest
good when He answers "No" to my prayers

... accepting the truth that, in spite of the
wreckage and grief I've caused, God who has wiped
the slate clean and delights in me

... recognizing that God is the Lord of time when
my idea of timing doesn't agree with his

... not a vague hope of a happy here after but an
assurance of Heaven based on my trust in Christ's
death as payment for my sins

... remembering that, though my way is dark as
night to me, God can see and guides me unerringly

... doing the right thing regardless of the
consequences knowing God will turn the ultimate
effect to good

... the conviction the Promiser keeps His promises.

PSALM 139

1 O LORD, you have searched me
      and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O LORD.
5 You hem me in-behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,"
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and
wonderfully made;
      your works are wonderful,
      I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me  were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
      When I awake,
      I am still with you.
19 If only you would slay the wicked, O God!
Away from me, you bloodthirsty men!
20 They speak of you with evil intent;
      your adversaries misuse your name.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD,
and abhor those who rise up against you?
22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
      I count them my enemies.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

GOOD MORNING, HOLY SPIRIT

Good Morning, Holy Spirit
so calm and sure,
Fill me up
with Thy love secure.
Always make
Your presence known,
In my heart
forever Your home.
Good Morning, Holy Spirit
so pure and meek,
Help me to
rely on Thee.
Guide my thoughts
and actions, too,
Your arm on my shoulder
I leave it to You.

THE CROSS

I know in life we all go through
A lot of hurt and pain
We need to think of Jesus Christ
On the cross with all our shame

For as our Lord was hanging there
With all our sin and doubts
Everything that we'll go through
He bore as His blood poured out

And in the blood that flowed that day
Is forgiveness from every sin
There's nothing we can do or say
His blood can't cleanse within

Oh the pain that He went through
In suffering on His own
For even the Father turned His face
And He was left to die alone

We could never imagine the anguish
Of Jesus there on the cross
He lived for us; He died for us
And all we did was scoff

Nothing we could ever go through
Can ever be compared
So next time when we're feeling down
We should go to Him in prayer

For He will understand your pain
For He has felt it too
He knows the road your travelling on
And He will walk with you

WHO IS THE MAN?

Who is the man with the price on his head?
A carpenter's son, a ransom for the dead.

Who is the man who never strayed from the law?
The anchor of my soul, a lamb without flaw.

Who is the man with thorns for a crown?
The alpha and the omega, in whom peace can be
found.

Who is the man between the two thieves?
The Lord of Lords, the King of Kings.

Who is the man behind all the blood?
The lamb that was slain, the most high God.

Who is the man who struggles to breathe?
Our remover of sin, the Lord of reprieve.

Who is the man who cries out loud?
The giver of life, but a reproach to the crowd.

Who is the man some say is the Christ?
The tower of salvation, the pearl of great price.

Who is the man born of contention and strife?
He is the great "I am", the Bread of Life.

I Am Lost Without Him

Have you gotten on your knees today
seeking counsel from the Lord?
Or, did you feel it too much bother,
and time you can't afford?

Did you really think it wise,
to go out there without His aid?
Can you face the day alone
secure in decisions you have made?

When your perfect plans begin to crumble,
is it then to the Lord you cry?
Do you grow angry and despondent,
and claim you don't know why?

Must you make the trip full circle
ending up back from whence you came,
and there you realize, dear friend
you should have asked all in His name?

I hope I've learned the lesson
of not going first to Him,
and the complete and utter foolishness
of self sufficiency and whim.

"AND GOD SAID ...."

I said, "God, I hurt."
And God said, "I know."
I said, "God, I cry a lot."
And God said, "That is why I gave you tears."
I said, "God, I am so depressed."
And God said, "That is why I gave you Sunshine."
I said, "God, life is so hard."
And God said, "That is why I gave you loved ones."

I said, "God, my loved one died."
And God said, "So did mine."
I said, "God, it is such a loss."
And God said, "I saw mine nailed to a cross."
I said, "God, but your loved one lives."
And God said, "So does yours."
I said, "God, where are they now?"
And God said, "Mine is on My right
and yours is in the Light."
I said, "God, it hurts."
And God said, I know."

The Price Was Paid

Jesus Christ paid it all for you and me on that
hill called Calvary.
He spent His blood on that tree, and the cost to
you and I is free.
The price was paid for sin you see, but it was the
sin of you and me.
Jesus paid the price, yes indeed, and on that day
Christ set us free.

God decided in eternity past, to set a price that
would forever last.
But there was not a lot to cast, for only Jesus
can forgive your past.
Many people were totally aghast to see Christ
treated as an outcast.
Although beaten and harassed, His love remained
pure and steadfast.

By His own, rejected and accused, and sentenced by
that body of Jews.
Understood by just a few, "forgive them as they
know not what they do."
Christ's cry to God to forgive the Jews echoes
today for me and you.
But in light of Scripture when we choose, we know
exactly what we do.

I never perused God like I ought and I'm the one
whom God had sought.
The Word I wasn't taught and my knowledge of Him
was close to naught.
But all things by God are wrought, no matter what
I learned or thought.
Even the unrighteous who vainly fought, by Jesus
Christ were bought.

On the cross rejected and downcast, His love is a
Heavenly contrast.
His love alone so deep and vast, to this very day
goes unsurpassed.
And the souls for evil that Satan amassed, into
the fire Christ will cast.
Satan's evil will soon be past and God's
Righteousness will forever last.

For in the end all will see, and not only those
who truly believed.
And all of those who remain deceived will be dealt
with accordingly.
His Blood redeemed all who believe and eternal
life they will receive.
And His Blood purchased all the deceived to be
cast into Hell eternally.

RISEN FOR ME

Crucified for me,
My Creator did cry;
Alas, the Living Word
Gave His life for mine.

Pierced for me,
My Shepherd did bleed;
Alas, my Lord, my Savior
Laid down His life for me.

Buried for me,
The Light of my life died;
Alas, my Friend, my Brother
Was laid to rest for me.

Risen for me,
My Redeemer lives!
Alas, the Alpha, the Omega
(the Beginning and the End)
Has come back for me!

~Author Jeffrey E. Pollock~

I am the resurrection and the life.
Those who believe in Me will live,
Even though they die;
and those who live and believe
in Me will never die.

JOHN 11:25-26
He's Coming Back In Power

Jesus is coming to set all straight and you may
have no time to wait.
For no one knows the day or hour when He'll return
in all His Power.
And every eye will see that day when all His power
He does display.

The power He set aside for me when He chose to die
upon that tree.
He had the power to save His life but He chose to
be our sacrifice.
But unlike a sacrifice that lay dead, The Lord my
friend rose again.

And in the view of many men, back up to Heaven
Christ did ascend.
As they looked intently in the sky, they may have
asked how and why.
Then two angels appeared on the way with the
following words to say,
This same Jesus that did ascend is coming back the
same way again.

From this you and I should learn we should be
looking for His return.
To believers Christ sent His Power to teach about
that awesome hour,
Although Christ died, He rose again, to become the
Savior of all men.

The power He could have used was a power that He
could not lose.
Jesus Christ set aside His Majesty, but as God,
retained His Deity.
He will return in Total Majesty and again, every
single eye will see.

Many on that day will perish refusing to embrace
The Lord we cherish,
As Christ destroys the man of sin, with the
brightness of His coming.
While men who wait in every nation, to them He
brings His Salvation.
It may be today or tomorrow, so embrace Him now
and have no sorrow.

Morning Prayer

When crimson, gleaned across the morn,
gleams golden from the sun raised dawn,
like Jesus' love to light the Way,
Oh, Father, thank you for this day.

I ask for my children still asleep,
who last eve prayed their souls to keep
a place for You within their heart,
will feel Your love at this day's start.

Like morning buds that lean toward light,
and open up to life anew,
I pray they keep You in their sight,
and come to know the light of You.

And thank you, Lord, for each day's labor,
though oft' times tasks seem like no favor,
my works are gifts to You each day
Who gifted talent to serve His Way.

Though work here may seem hard and long,
just as a seed falls into sod
and nature nurtures it along,
we will announce the work of God.

~Author Rich Tassinari ~
Thomas said to him,
"Lord, we don't know where you are going,
so how can we know the way?"
Jesus answered,
"I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father
except through me.
If you really knew me,
you would know the Father as well.
From now on,
you do know him and have seen him"

John 14, v5:7
EVERYTHING

As I awoke to the beginning of a brand new day,
It seemed like waves of trials kept coming my
way.
Problem after problem was all I could see,
I cried out, "Lord, what is it you want from me?"

The answer that came from the One Most High,
Was nothing but a very simple reply,
It was one unexpected, but yet rang so true,
It's something He desires from me and from you.

He said, "EVERYTHING"

I want you to know Me as your Saviour and Guide,
The One who will always be right there at your
side.
I want you to serve Me through the good times and
bad,
To sing praises to My Name whether you're happy or
sad.

I want your faith to grow stronger as each day
goes by,
To trust Me when there's no answers to your
questions of "Why?"
To learn of My love and to feel My embrace,
When you're called to endure the hardships you
face.

I want no one or nothing to take My place in your
heart,
In whatever you should do, I want to take part.
Stand on My promises, let nothing cause you
doubt,
In the end you will see that all things will work
out.

So you see, My dear child, I want to be your all
in all,
To depend on My presence when you stand or when
you fall,
When you question just what is it that I want from
thee?
My answer is EVERYTHING, as you are EVERYTHING to
Me.

A MILLION PIECES

Inside I feel shattered
Like a million pieces
My thoughts are scattered
On everything but JESUS

Let YOUR love make me whole
Let YOUR will take control
Cleanse me with YOUR SPIRIT
Renew my heart and my soul

Guide me on YOUR path
To help others who are lost
YOU bought me with YOUR blood
That YOU poured upon the cross

YOU lift me like kings
YOU speak to me in dreams
YOU give me hope in despair
And forgive me for all things

THE VOICE

There's a voice inside that's saying I am useless
to you Lord.
I cannot sing or write or even teach Your word.
I look to all my brothers and my sisters and I
see,
All the talents and the gifts You gave to them,
but not to me.

1 Cor.12.

There's a voice inside that's saying I'm not good
enough for You.
It reminds me of the wrongs I've done, I can't
deny they're true.
And these feelings of unworthiness are with me
when I pray,
And I find it hard to seek Your face and talk to
You each day.

2 Cor.5v17-21.

There's a voice inside that's saying I'm condemned
for all I've done.
I'll never be a Christian worthy of Your Son.
A dark cloud of depression surrounds and eats at
me,
Blocking out Your light so I can't see.

Rom 8v1.

There's a voice inside that's saying "What's the
point of going on.
You're trying very hard, but it always turns out
wrong.
No one understands or appreciates what you do,
And even so called 'Christians' are opposing
you."

James 1v3/4.

There's a voice, I hear it clearly, saying "Listen
child to ME.
My Son took all your sins and died on Calvary.
There is now no condemnation because you are MY
child.
You wear a righteousness that cannot be defiled."

Phil.1v11,3v9.

"All these whisperings are from Satan, who would
rob you of your peace,
But you don't have to listen, for in my grace
you'll find release.
Satan's lies, deceits and tauntings are the fiery
darts he fires,
But when you use your shield of faith, the flames
can be expired.
My Son defeated Satan, his authority is nought,
For Jesus crushed his head when your lives for Me
He bought."

Col.2v13-15.

"Satan may condemn you, my child I never will,
For even when convicting, my child I love you
still.
He will rob you of your confidence, your joy and
peace in me,
But only if you let him, don't you see.
My child the power and authority of my Son is in
your hand.
Just remember all my promises, and most of all, to
stand,
And I promise you the victory, because of
Calvary,
But you must close your ears to Satan
And listen only unto me."

Deuteronomy 30v20a.

Galations 5:1

We have truly been set free
For Christ has redeemed us
We can walk in His holy power
And know His unconditional love
May we stand fast in this freedom
Not to be again ensnared
By the heavy yoke we once had borne
When spiritually we were dead
But thanks be to God
Who has given us the liberty
Who has resurrected us
To walk in His victory.

Remember that your presence is a present to the
world.
Remember that you are a unique and unrepeatable
creation.
Remember that your life can be what you want it to
be.
Remember to take the days just one at a time.
Remember to count your blessings, not your
troubles.
Remember that you'll make it through whatever
comes along.
Remember that most of the answers you need are
within you.
Remember those dreams waiting to be realised.
Remember that decisions are too important to leave
to chance.
Remember to always reach for the best that is
within you.
Remember that nothing wastes more energy than
worry.
Remember that not getting what you want
is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.
Remember that the longer you carry a grudge, the
heavier it gets.
Remember not to take things too seriously.
Remember to laugh.
Remember that a little love goes a long way.
Remember that a lot goes forever.
Remember that happiness is more often found in
giving than getting.
Remember that life's treasures are people, not
things.
Remember that miracles can still happen.

Being An Example

I expect to pass through this world but once
so the path I take, I pray will make a difference
by showing kindness to someone along the way
in all my efforts of what I may do or say.

By sitting and listening to someone in need
my kindness will grow to a flower from a seed
Making a difference by living my life
in faith and happiness and not of strife.

Challenges and trials will come my way
but I know my father will not sway
for he guarantees to be my guide
so I open my arms and do not hide.

I will try to do my very best
striving for the excellence to past the test
of going through life with steady hands
to follow my father's uncovered plans.

To always practice the " Golden Rule"
meditate each day as if I were in school
exercise my body, his Holy Temple does stand
value always the worth of each earthly man.

Amidst the chaos of my life
Amidst the turmoil and the strife
Amidst the tempests and upheaval
Amidst all pressure to do evil
A wondrous gem within me lies
Which worldly means cannot comprise.

And only God can cultivate
This jewel that none can imitate
Through peaceful whisperings deep inside
Where Holy Spirit doth abide
Within my heart when ere I pray
For understanding day by day.

'Til witness of our Lord doth hold
A lode more glorious than gold
Which fills me with such wondrous light
That I am lifted from my plight
To lofty heights of knowledge pure
That Jesus is my only cure!

God Inside

God is near
to all who hold Him dear,
who are a solid rock in the roaring ocean,
who are anchored in the Word of God,
not their emotion.

He will be their hiding place
and wipe the tears from their face.
He will be their refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.

He will be their strong tower
in their darkest hour.
When they put their trust in Him,
deliverance He will bring
and songs of Praise to God they'll sing.

When they are quiet and wait on Him
they'll hear His small voice within,
and there is a knowing deep inside,
that everything will be all right.

Yes, this God, who created all,
made himself so small,
that He can fit into our heart
never again to depart.

Let me briefly tell you how,
you too can be that close to Him right now.
All you have to do
is call upon His Name
and He'll do the same
for you as He did for them.
His Blood will cleanse you from all sin,
He'll send the Holy Spirit within
and you will be born again.

Now is the time,
you need not wait,
tomorrow might be too late.
Will you answer His call
and settle your destiny once and for all?

Somewhere someone's praying

Somewhere someone's praying
Down upon their knees
Lifting you before the Throne
With love and gentle pleas

Asking God to give you
Strength to face another day
And when the night is darkest
Shine light upon your way.

Somewhere someone's kneeling
To whisper your name in prayer
Knowing that you need to feel
God's love and tender care

They intercede on your behalf
Because they love you so
Knowing that you have a need
To their Father they will go

They pray when you're not able
To speak a single word
What peace there is in knowing
Their prayers will be heard

They lay you on the altar
As they kneel there at His feet
Giving all your cares to Him
There at the mercy seat

Our God is always listening
To every earnest prayer
When we look to Him for help
The answer is always there

It's such a comfort to know
That someone prays for you
Placed within His loving hands
Those prayers will see you through

As you kneel before the Father
Thank Him for those who care
When you bow before the mercy seat
Whisper their name in prayer
